BASELINE STUDY

The baseline study in our project area was made to collect comprehensive data on the existing conditions related to water quality, water availability as well as the usage of wood from the surrounding forest as fuel for boiling water, the existing versions of stoves in the households and their energy efficiency.

The baseline study establishes the starting point against which the project's progress and impact can be measured. It typically includes assessments of microbial contamination levels, water sources, community behaviors, wood collection and different forest data.

By establishing this baseline, project implementers can tailor interventions effectively, monitor changes over time, and evaluate the effectiveness of water disinfection measures in mitigating health risks and enhancing water security within the context of climate change.

Safe Water, Avoidance of Firing Wood for Boiling Water and Forest Protection

Our baseline study was conducted over surveys and household visits in our project area.

The raw water sources used for drinking water in single villages were visited and documented.

Efforts and time spent to collect water and to carry it home were documented.
